Second time out with the Strike, and once again it felt as though there wouldn't be enough wind, but once on the water there was plenty. At one point a gust came through and I was more than well-powered up!

it didn't last long though as the wind then first dropped, then suddenly swung SE and then back to NE and dropped again.. All of which was just too much and the kite decided it was time to fall out of the sky.

good while it lasted, but not really nice. Chatting to Mark ater he said he had had the same problems and had dropped his kite in the water twice today because of the gusty, shifty winds, and had never dropped his kite before. Shem went out briefly with the 17m but didn't enjoy the gusty conditions either.

The Russian guy who ended up in hospital a few weeks back then turned up and went out (still without a helmet), and this time without a wetsuit either. he didn't really get going, but did up up witht he mother of all tangles in his lines!!!
